This track actually came out of a vague idea I had (have?) to create a kind of "Music of the Spheres" album, in which the (adapted to human hearing) recordings of actual planets, moons, comets, the sun, lend the structure and key to each song. Then, you know, flesh them out and embellish them with mythological concepts and attributions associated with them throughout human history. I still like the idea, and maybe one day I will return to it. But in the meantime, this was the kind of sketch I made for Sol, our sun here on Earth. Since the whole of Sirius has a vaguely astronomical theme, I liked deciding to include it. Hail Ra!
