FD&C Red No. 3 is a USDA food coloring that I happen to be allergic to. When I consume it, well.... it's kinda like this song. I once ate two maraschino cherries, went berserk and yelled at my partner, grabbed my bike and cycled 10 miles into town, happened to meet my ex in the roadside and went berserk and yelled at him, too. I went for a 2-hour high-speed swim at the pool where I worked at the time, then got dressed and cycled a further 40 miles to the nearest city. Went for an hour swim at another place I knew, then cycled all the way back home. By the time I got back, I felt more normal, and much better in a cathartic-psychosis kind of way, and apologised profusely to my partner, who laughed at me and then threw the cherries in the bin. Yeah, I .... I don't eat those anymore.
